As a webmaster, I have seen a sharp decline in the quality of search at Yahoo - basically SPAM all the way. I have seen tremendous improvement in MSN, but Google is still the king, though not without its problems. Google continues to have a lot of SPAM and it does a terrible job indexing blogs (nothing like Technorati). So today's report that Google has the highest market share is encouraging. But why don't the advertisers do something about advertising more online? That is the question that JD is asking. I wouldn't like to say that they are stupid; maybe they are just comfortable doing what they do while the world is changing.
In our portfolio of websites, we have seen pretty good ads in English, but with our Spanish language website, Lindisima, we find that there are not enough advertisers. With all the purchasing power of Hispanic people in the country, you would hope that they would start marketing to these people who are hungry for new stuff to buy.
