I am a big fan of Avril Lavigne. I think she is not only a great singer she is also a fashion icon. I remember how she popularized the use by ties by women. So it was nice to know that she is now officially engaged. It is nice to get that sort of announcements. I hate those celebrities that think that rumors are better than releasing facts. In a statement, her agent says that both Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley, lead singer and guitarist of the band Sum 41 (and a fellow Canadian) are very excited. Me too.
