| Vioxx lawsuits in Oregon |

| OregonLive is reporting that a Senate panel in Oregon has revived a bill that would allow the (helpless) residents of Oregon to sue Merck in the Vioxx case. The pharmaceutical lobby has been pushing hard to deny Vioxx victims the same rights as residents of other states have. It is still uncertain if this bill will eventually become law but in the meantime the first Vioxx trial is scheduled to begin next month. |
