| Ritalin and Concerta to carry warnings |

When Tom Cruise started to criticize the whole field of psychiatry and all drugs that supposedly cure mental disorders like depression, ADHD, and others, he has been ridiculed because he is neither a doctor nor is he completely accurate. Plus, because his argument is based on a religious belief rather than science, not many people are likely to take him seriously. Having said that, it is true that there are drugs that do more harm than good. Plus, there are drugs that we should not be taking because we should just let the nature do its work. Just think about it - ADHD in children is such an American thing. In poor countries like China or India, no one cares if a kid has something called ADHD. They just study Math and computer science and become great scientists. So while FDA refuses to recall any of these drugs like Ritalin, Adderall, Concerta, or Prozac, it is now being reported that some drugs like Ritalin and Concerta will carry a warning. |
