A lot of webmasters in particular, but almost all publishers (bloggers included), are worried about their content being copied by crooks who want to make money from someone else's hard work. The most dangerous are the bots that take content from several different pages and try to create an article, then they ping the search engines and directories, giving an impression of a website that is frequently updated to fool the search engines. So I heard about this new service called Copyscapes. I tested over a dozen websites that I manage and all I got was absolutely useless information. I am sorry I even went there. Simply ended up wasting my time. So if you want to monitor if someone is copying your content, trust Google for now. |
