After having a PageRank of 3 and 4 (yeah I was the one to write how to achiever higher pagerank), mine dropped to zero this morning, with no change in traffic.   It seems that I am not the only one.  Since this is a noncommercial blog, it does not affect me in any way at all as long my fans continue to visit me, but for those who sell links on their blogs using their PR this is a big setback.  That is what a company called Izea does and their CEO Ted Murphy is furious at Google, but I think he is wrong.

1. Not all bloggers that have lost PR do sponsored posts. I don't and my PR turned to zero from four.
2. I don't work for Google but I think they have a right to "punish" those that try to manipulate its search engine results.  It displays its PR, but it could have done exactly the same thing without displaying it.
3. If some websites that do sponsored posts have been spared and some that do not do sponsored posts have been punished, it simply means that his conclusion about his bloggers being targeted is not accurate.
4. I think his suggestions are lame that bloggers try to cheat Google by not using certain keywords.  Spammers have tried using these tricks for a while and they haven't been too successful.
