Men who wear panties often have this question. A fan of mine has provided some tips in this email I got. Men will find some types of panties to be more comfortable than others. For example, Bali nylon Skimp Skamps, in size 8, have a gusset that is 4 inches or more wide. That makes for real comfort for men. The rest of the panty is all nylon with spandex, making for a sleek smooth feel. Sometimes you don't even feel them on. Bali Skimp Skamp is my favorite for feel. Hanes panties are my favorite for cotton and 100% nylon, and are a nice fit too for less money. Most Hanes panties have a gusset that is stretchable in width, something that other brands don't have. I agree with the original poster – Bali Skimp Scamp are awesome. I’ve worn the high leg and full briefs for over 12 years now. There is plenty of room for your “package” thanks to the stretchy material, even in the high leg version. You may find it more comfortable to get the full brief one size larger than the high leg. The only problem is that the Skimp Scamp has a feminine “scalloped” waistband, so if you are trying to keep your wearing secret, you have to be careful your shirt doesn’t come un-tucked as the waistbands ride quite high, and will show under all types of men’s pants, slacks and shorts. Alternately, they now make a “Modern Brief” with a lower rise which will not ride above the waist of most jeans and slacks. Bali / Barely There make a variety of other comfortable panties for men (wide crotches, stretchy material, plenty of room in front), it’s worth exploring these options as well, but I always went back to the Skimp Scamp.
For a panty equally as comfortable, but with a unisex tunneled elastic waistband, try Warners “Without a Stitch” (stupid name, because these are not seamless panties). Both the full brief and the high leg brief are very stretchy, fabulously comfortable, and very “unisex” looking – no worries if someone sees them. I’d say these are even more comfortable than the Bali Skimp Scamp, but the material tends to pill a lot under rough fabric such as jeans. Great for wearing under smooth man made fiber clothing, gym shorts, swim trunks etc, though.
Warners “Not so innocent Nudes” are also awesome – not quite as stretchy, but super smooth, and with a wide, comfortable waistband. Now only available in briefs, as the awesome high leg was discontinued a few years ago. Some sites have reviews of women complaining of them breaking or wearing out quickly, but I’ve not experienced any problems this way. They have a narrow crotch, so don’t buy them too small, or your sack will fall out the sides of the leg bands. But properly sized, they are quite comfortable, and feel great.
Speaking of size, all of the above mentioned panties are available in very large sizes for bigger men. For reference, a man who wars size 32 pants will likely find that a woman's large (size 7) will be a good starting point when looking for a comfortable fit. Size varies greatly by manufacturer, material, and even among different products from the same company, so depending on whether you desire a tight or loose fit, a men’s 32” waist could be anywhere from womens medium (6) to x-large (8).
Just recently, I discovered a less known Canadian manufacturer called “Elita” who makes a product line called “Silk Magic”. These have become my new favorite panties. They are a tad expensive, but the build quality, and the durability of the fabric is second to none. The Elita panties are similar to the Warners “Without a Stitch” in stretchiness and feel, except the fabric lasts much longer, and is highly resistant to picking and pilling (no pilling under jeans / rough fabric). The Elitas have a wide, tunneled elastic unisex waistband, and are available in a variety of styles from thong, to scanty high leg to full briefs to boy leg shorts. I swear the boy shorts were actually made for men – there is extra space in the front for your package! My personal favorites have become the scanty cut high leg (style 8833) and the boy leg shorts (style 8862). If I didn’t know better, I’d say Elita’s panties were actually designed with men in mind. The only downfall is that the sizes top out at women’s large or extra large (7 or 8) depending on the style, and men who wear above a 34” waist will not be able to find a size that fits them.
There are now a number of companies selling panties specially made for men, but frankly, there is absolutely no reason to even consider such products, since Bali, Warners and Elita all mass produce panties that literally could be called unisex in their ability to offer amazing comfort and fit to both women and men.

One final recommendation – the small US based manufacturer “Shadowline” has some great panties for men as well. Their basic stretch briefs are very generously cut, and feel fantastic. The material is very long wearing, however the waist and leg bands are “scalloped” so they are obviously feminine if seen by others. Also, the waistband tends to stretch out quickly where it is stitched together, but overall a great feeling, comfortable panty to wear. They also have non stretch panties from super soft nylon, and pant liners made of the same material.
Shadowline also have products made from something called “modal” with a bit of spandex added for stretchiness. This is a fantastically soft, comfortable material that is quite alluring to the touch. These panties have a tunneled elastic waistband, but unfortunately have frilly lace around the legs, so they are obviously feminine if seen by others. None the less a simply amazing pair of panties. Beware of this material called “modal” from other manufacturers – it is no where near as soft and comfy as the material Shadowline gets to make their panties.
Shadowline is only available online from shadowline-lingerie (dot) com. Overall, nice products for those who are in a position to be able to wear slightly to moderately feminine looking panties. Great fit for men at very reasonable prices, especially when they have a sale.

I agree that Elita Magic Silk panties have a great feel and fit for men. But the sewn-in cotton liner is a big turn-off.

I have learned to buy panties that have a wide crotch. I have also found that hi-cut or French cut tend to work best for mes. Generally, Barely There has several styles with a wide crotch. Recently, Jockey has come out with Ultimate Seamfree that are somewhat stretchy and have a wide crotch. They even have a boyshort that has a wide gusset - unlike most of that style. They're quite comfortable.
