In this letter, I'm not going to argue that to my mind, skumor's histrionics show a degree of immature sickness that even I didn't expect. Nor am I going to argue that it is eminently ruthless. I'm not going to argue those factors because they're irrelevant. Instead, I will say only that it looks like we may never learn the answers to some of the more vexing questions surrounding its motives. Before I begin, let me point out that if it were paying attention—which it would seem it is not, as I've already gone over this—it'd see that it can get away with lies (e.g., that principles don't matter) because the average person cannot imagine anyone lying so brazenly. Not one person in a hundred will actually check out the facts for himself and discover that skumor is lying.
Skumor finds reality too difficult to swallow. Or maybe it just gets lost between the sports and entertainment pages. In either case, skumor's torchbearers have tried repeatedly to assure me that skumor will eventually tire of its plan to demonize my family and friends and will then step aside and let us ensure that the values for which we have labored and for which many of us have fought and sacrificed will continue in ascendancy. When that will happen is unclear—probably sometime between "don't hold your breath" and "beware of flying pigs". So remember kids, if you want to make all of us pay for skumor's boondoggles, all you have to do is agree to let skumor force me to self-censor my critique of it. Skumor utilizes a narrow and static view of human nature. Am I aware of how skumor will react when it reads that last sentence? Yes. Do I care? No, because it has called people like me acrimonious, savage mob bosses, brain-damaged, malign scum, and unprincipled mendicants so many times that these accusations no longer have any sting. Skumor honestly continues to employ such insults because it's run out of logical arguments. I suppose an alternate explanation is that the baneful nature of skumor's doctrines is not just a rumor. It is a fact to which I can testify.
As that last sentence suggests, skumor is a prodigal used-car salesman. I use that label only when it's true. If you don't believe it is, then consider that skumor is the picture of the insane person on the street, babbling to a tree, a wall, or a cloud, which cannot and does not respond to its double standards. In closing, please remember that my ultimate goal is to address the legitimate anger, fear, and alienation of people who have been mobilized by skumor because they saw no other options for change. If I advance, follow me. If I stop, urge me on. If I retreat, kill me.
